Plant cabinet

I purchased a cabinet from IKEA through Finn, which fit perfectly into a corner of the kitchen. However, the original legs extended slightly too far out, so I decided to replace them with custom wooden legs. A 3D-printed adapter was designed and printed to ensure the new legs fit the cabinet securely.

To create a more stable internal environment, tape was added around the cabinet door to improve sealing.

A fan was then mounted to the ceiling of the cabinet using magnets embedded in 3D-printed knobs. From these knobs, strings were attached to suspend the fan slightly lower, creating enough space between the fan and the ceiling for proper airflow.

Next, support rods were installed to hold metal shelves inside the cabinet. The shelves were made from metal grid panels to avoid obstructing airflow and were painted black to match the rest of the cabinet’s interior.

To complete the setup, I threw three ceramic herb pots on the wheel and placed them inside the cabinet.

At the moment, the basil seeds have not grown very much yet, but the hope is that they will gradually grow larger over time.
