Plant clips

I wanted to make a hanging plant a more integrated part of the interior, which led to the idea of transforming it into a climbing plant. To achieve this, I needed a visually pleasing way to attach the plant to the wall. I decided that 3D printing could be a good solution.

After a quick search online, I found many different design approaches. I was particularly drawn to designs shaped like leaves. This inspired me to create a leaf-shaped clip that gently holds the plant against the wall while blending naturally into the surroundings.

The clip was designed in Fusion 360. A leaf pattern was added to the outward-facing side to enhance the aesthetic, while careful consideration was given to the size of the opening to ensure the plant would not be damaged.

The locking mechanism consists of two parts that slide together, providing a simple and secure hold.

Once printed, the clips were mounted on the wall using double-sided tape. The design is also available on Printables: https://www.printables.com/model/349056-plant-clip.
