Laundry basket table

Covering the dirty laundry and creating more surface.

Laundry basket table

I wanted to find a way to conceal the laundry basket while also making better use of the space above it. This led to the idea of creating a table that could both hide the basket underneath and function as a practical surface on top.

The design was created in Fusion 360. To ensure the table matched the existing bamboo elements in the bathroom, bamboo was also chosen as the material for the laundry table.

An existing bamboo piece of furniture was cut into evenly sized squares, which were then glued onto a base plate to form the tabletop. The edges were routed afterward to ensure a clean, flush finish.

To improve usability, wheels were added to the laundry basket, making it easy to slide in and out from under the table. A custom mount for the wheels was 3D printed to securely attach them to the basket’s frame.

Once everything was assembled, the table was complete—combining functionality, material consistency, and a clean, integrated design.
